    The number of active Covid-19 cases in Lucknow rise to 26 after three new infections were reported on Sunday, district officials said.

    "The new patients who come from Aliganj, NK Road and Chinhat areas are under home isolation," said Yogesh Raghuvanshi, District Health Officer, adding that the city also recorded one recovery.

    In the state, which has over 190 active cases as of Sunday, most of the new cases were reported from Ghaziabad, Lucknow and Gautam Buddh Nagar.

    Uttar Pradesh has so far reported 21,28,505 Covid cases and 23,649 deaths, of which Lucknow contributes 3.06 lakh cases and 2,701 deaths.

    "Almost all patients with Covid are in home isolation. There are only a few people in hospitals who have tested positive for Covid while hospitalized for treatment of other illnesses. Those who are in home isolation do not have any major symptoms," said Dr AK Singh, Director of Infectious Diseases at the Ministry of Health.
